My Computer has 65 processes running when I boot up. Is this what’s making My Computer So Slow?

My Computer Is Super Slow all of a sudden and even when I don’t have any applications open, i have 65 processes running. Is that What Makes My Computer Slow? How can I speed up my computer?

1. remove unwanted startup programs
2. use ccleaner to remove temporary files
3. Increase swap space in OS.
