I am writing this article because of my experience of investing in 2 computers, one running on vista basic, the other on xp home edition with constant frustration getting the computers running smoothly especially the challenge of vista incompatible programs which is well and truly known but improving.

My first experience was to prevent unnecessary start up programs, having start up programs prevented so in affect improves logging in with no slow effect of preventing fast access.

The next advice was that Microsoft suggests is that every program you download is to restart your computer to let the system adjust to the new program. Or installing hardware such as sound cards, fire wire cards for connecting a video camera, TV fm cards for antenna connection, DVD burner for burning video to digital video disc, bigger gigabyte ram cards or a Graphics card.

Next the big important issue was updating drivers no question this is an absolute must? So I purchased a Driver Robot driver update program which has an enormous database of vista or xp drivers for what I required. Drivers such as Sound Card Drivers,Printer Drivers,Video Card Drivers,Mother Board Drivers,Web Cam Drivers,Wireless Drivers,Blue Tooth Drivers,Fire Wire Drivers,Ethernet Drivers,Windows XP Drivers,Windows Vista Drivers,USB Drivers,Chipset Drivers,AC97 Drivers,DVD Drivers,Router Drivers and many more there is always an up to date driver for it to function better. Well and truly a good investment.

Next was getting a good affordable virus protection program which is very interesting doing a scan after browsing the internet of what was detected and deleted. Reading reviews for me revealed the Advanced antivirus
